Within the Gulp! I said can, because I've have had a few that would not seal. Whatever is in the liquid seems to attract and hold dust and leak through seals. Curious to try the plano boxes, as the grocery store options seem to end up leaking after a couple trips.
Extreme heat and sunshine exposure can break down the baits in liquid. Not sure about the bags as they seem to dry out before they have a chance to break down. They can be re-hydrated in water THEN soaked in gulp juice to revive dried out baits. Dang, and I was right by there on Saturday I'm headed to BPS later this week for some other unrelated yeah right things I'll check on them there. Spoke to Mr. LaChance at the Larimer county fishing expo, and he informed me that he and his staff had caught species on the Gulp minnow. Wonder how many they're at now. A couple of quick points on Gulp!
The difference is that the buckets are sold by weight and the bags are by count some federal law thing I'm told. If you count the minnows, cost is very close but you get the juice with the Alive versions. I biodegradable Any Gulp! The Gulp! I have also cut little slices into soft plastics and worms Not real crawlers to try and get the juices to soak in better but I have not noticed a difference in results with this method.
So in my experience, soaking other baits for a few hours doesn't hurt the soft plastic. I should note I haven't had them soak over night but have only done it with maybe 3 or 4 different types. So it could eat up some soaking for longer periods Another successful method is trolling them on an umbrella rig. I've caught a few trout and a few walleye with the umbrella.
